A Question for Everyone

Thu Apr 2, 2009, 5:38 AM
This question goes out to everyone (especially those of you who have a busy life). Please feel free to leave a comment.

How do you schedule yourselves time for your art? I have an almost-full-time job, full time school, the mini-ARB full time, and other craziness of Life to handle all on my own.

I have a very difficult time clearing my head to accomplish even writing assignments for English Composition I. Any of my personal drawings or assignments I have done for one of my other classes (3-D Modeling and Adobe Flash classes) have been squeezed from that dark and dusty creative area of my brain, and I feel they are lifeless and detached from me. What I mean in a way. In the past, I put emotion and myself into my art, and now...it's just there on the computer or on paper. Just a thing and not a piece of me.

  • Mood: Content
  • Listening to: Nine Inch Nails
  • Reading: textbooks. yay.
  • Watching: my hair turn gray.
  • Playing: with the clicky things.
  • Eating: coffee.
  • Drinking: CoFFee!!!!

At first, thx for :+devwatch:

..
I work like 12hrs per day, sleep 5-6hrs and that means I have 5-6hrs for cooking, eating, moving, shopping, fun, etc. That's not much. When I get any extra "art" job or if I only design something for myself I need to think about it for some time.. and that's the key to solution in my quite busy life. Think about what you need, make notes and when you think you found IT, do it..

Nothing makes design worse than being short of time. Btw. I quit my previous job because of it ,)
